Michael T. Cowley
Michael Cowley is a principal of Cowley Norberg Investments (CNI). Mr. Cowley oversees the extensive Cowley Companies real estate-based portfolio and has participated in real estate transactions that cumulatively exceed $5 billion dollars. Mike’s current passion is repurposing historic warehouses in downtown Phoenix to unique office space. Mike graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Organizational Psychology.
Mike is a member of Greater Phoenix Leadership serving as Co-Chair for the Economy Task Force Committee, in addition to serving on the Teach for America Regional Board of Directors. Previous commitments include President of the Maricopa Health Foundation Board, commissioner on the Maricopa County Planning & Zoning Committee, and Chairman of the Board for the Maricopa County Special Health Care District.
Michael S. Norberg
Michael Norberg is a principal of Cowley Norberg Investments and actively oversees the management of $120mm in invested capital. Prior to joining CNI, Mr. Norberg was the principal and founder of Arete Capital, an Arizona-based real estate private equity company. He was also the COO for Cornerstone Homes, helping to grow the Arizona homebuilder to close more than 250 homes per year.
Before joining as a partner of Cornerstone Homes, Mr. Norberg also served in various Sales Management and Sales positions with several high-tech companies, including Niku Corporation, Baan, Netscape, and Novell/WordPerfect. Mr. Norberg began his career at Ford Motor Land Development in Dearborn, Michigan as a Financial and Business Planning Analyst.
Mr. Norberg serves on the Board of Directors for Novo Power (Arizona’s only Biomass plant in Snowflake, AZ) and is a founding Board Member of Hawes Trail Alliance in Mesa AZ. Mr. Norberg is a graduate of Brigham Young University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
Jacob R. Tyler
Jacob Tyler is the Project Manager at Cowley Norberg Investments and is responsible for the daily tracking, management, analysis, and reporting of CNI’s investments. Jacob assists in the capital management of over $200 million in land assets.
Before joining CNI, Jacob worked as a land researcher at Land Advisors Organization in Scottsdale, Arizona, while he was earning his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Arizona State University. Jacob is also a current candidate in the Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) program at the W.P. Carey School of Business at ASU and will be receiving his master’s degree in May of 2022.
